GIF  announcement

Solmaz Farhang is an Iranian-born interdisciplinary artist based in London and the current Styria Artist in Residence at Forum Stadtpark. Solmaz will host the final gathering of GIF 26 at Forum Stadtpark through improvised performances, drawing, and sound making. She will interact with everyone and everything in the room, connect, disconnect, interrupt, disrupt and moderate to make everyone, including herself, feel at home.

The “Styria Artist in Residence” program (St.A.i.R.) is a high-profile international fellowship program run by the State of Styria for contemporary art. It enables artists and cultural practitioners from all disciplines to spend several months working in Graz. The program promotes international exchange and closely connects the visiting artists with the regional art scene. Partner institutions such as Forum Stadtpark, Freies Atelierhaus Schaumbad, etc. support the fellows and provide a space for new ideas, experimentation, and public presentations.
